Welcome To My World!

Hi, I'm Carol Rasheed. If there's one thing you should know about me, it’s that my life and career have been driven by passion, creativity, and empowerment. Whether I’m on set creating iconic looks for film and TV or building brands that inspire confidence, I’ve always believed in using beauty to tell a story—whether it’s through makeup or through the empowering power of a bold red lip.

A Glimpse into My Portfolio

My portfolio spans over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, specializing in makeup for TV and film. I’ve had the privilege of working on high-profile productions, creating transformative looks that bring characters to life. From subtle, everyday looks to avant-garde transformations, I pride myself on pushing the boundaries of makeup artistry. My work speaks to the stories behind the scenes—every brushstroke, every contour, every lip color is part of a narrative.

Recent accolades include an Emmy Nomination for 'The First Lady,' and a Critics' Choice Nomination for my work on 'The Color Purple, Reimagined.' I’ve been recognized by Variety Magazine as one of the 'Top 10 Artisans to Watch in 2023,' a title I wear with pride.

But beyond the red carpets and awards, my goal has always been to inspire. Whether you’re an artist looking to elevate your skills, or someone who just loves playing with makeup, my journey is all about showing that beauty is for everyone. Please head over to the portfolio section to see all of my most recent work

TV and Film Makeup Academy: Elevating the Next Generation of Artists

One of my greatest passions is teaching. That’s why I founded the TV and Film Makeup Academy, where I specialize in mentoring advanced makeup artists who want to break into the world of film and television. This academy is where you can refine your skills and take your artistry to the next level. My first class, Introduction to Makeup Artistry, is a five-day hands-on class from November 11-14. It is designed to challenge and inspire established artists to push their creativity beyond the basics.

Whether it’s mastering special effects, script breakdowns, or understanding on-set procedures, my academy offers a range of courses that cater to makeup artists who are ready to elevate their game. I believe that there’s no limit to what you can achieve when you combine passion with skill, and I’m here to help you get there.

Evolution of Rouge: Empowerment Through Beauty

In addition to my work in the entertainment industry, I’ve also launched Evolution of Rouge, a beauty brand that’s all about empowering women of all ages, especially those like myself—strong, resilient, and unapologetically bold. Evolution of Rouge is more than just a beauty brand; it’s a movement. It’s about showing women that they can redefine beauty on their terms, no matter what stage of life they’re in.

Our signature product is a trio of red lipsticks—Hope, Inspiration, and Resilience—each designed to represent a core value that I believe every woman embodies. Whether you’re 20 or 60, these shades were created for women of all skin tones and ages. The message behind Evolution of Rouge is simple: beauty is about feeling empowered, whether you’re wearing a bold lip or embracing your natural look.

Want to join the movement? Check out Evolution of Rouge here and find your perfect red lip that speaks to your inner strength.

Hello. My name is Saundra Burgess, the nail tech. Is this the correct place to ask, how nail techs can get into film and tv or do they have actors get their nails done before coming on set?

Thank you,
